About Safe.Vet

The idea for Smart Labels came from the same mistakes I kept seeing in practice — preventable errors that happen more often than we like to admit. A drug pushed too fast. An injection given the wrong route. A tired vet forgetting to dilute. I kept thinking there had to be something that actually helped prevent these errors.

So I created injectable drug labels designed to reduce those risks. They’re not just color-coded — each label includes the practical details clinicians rely on every day: dilution reminders, typical routes, and guidance on how slowly a drug should be given IV. The goal is simple: make medications easier to prepare correctly, even when things get busy.

We’ve spent countless hours cross-referencing drug protocols with Plumb’s, VIN, and input from experienced veterinarians. Where guidelines are unclear or vary between sources, we’ve made thoughtful decisions based on safety, consistency, and how drugs are actually used in real clinical settings.

Because safety shouldn’t rely on memory, guesswork, or scribbled handwriting — it should be built into the process.
